Turbo Poly Seal is a brush-applied sealant used with polyester fleece for selected roof seams, flashing, masonry, and metal repairs. Material identification comes first: it must not be applied directly to EPDM rubber or glass.

What to check first

  • Confirm the surface beneath any old coating.
  • Choose a repair example that matches the actual joint.
  • Read the current catalog when an older video describes a different method.

Turbo Poly Seal: a practical application sequence

  1. Confirm compatibility and prepare

Use current Bergstrom instructions for the substrate. Turbo Poly Seal is not for direct EPDM, glass, or silicone surfaces. Remove loose or failing material and clean and dry the bonding area fully.

  2. Mix and apply the base coat

Stir until the product is uniform brown, including any green layer. Do not thin. For a reinforced seam repair, brush the base coat slightly wider than the specified fleece.

  3. Embed and saturate the fleece

Embed the fleece while the base coat is wet, before a skin forms. Apply the top coat while wet until the fleece is saturated and no weave or dry fibers remain. Follow the current detail for width, overlaps, weather, cure, and protective finish.

Watch the field examples

These archive demonstrations show individual projects. Use the current guidance above and Bergstrom’s published instructions if an older video shows a different product or method. Torch work shown in installation videos is professional work.

Product reference: Bergstrom Industries’ published knowledge catalog. Follow the latest product label and safety information. Historical project examples are educational and are not a specification for every roof.
