Super Silicone Seal is Bergstrom's recommended product for EPDM rubber repairs and is also used on glass and metal. A sound surface, dry preparation, and fully covered polyester fleece remain essential to reinforced seam repairs.

What to check first

  • Remove loose previous repairs and identify what remains.
  • Keep the repair within the compatible surface area.
  • Do not assume a silicone repair can later be painted or coated with Turbo Poly Seal.

Super Silicone Seal: use the current repair detail

  1. Identify the surface and previous repair

    Bergstrom provides Super Silicone Seal guidance for materials including EPDM, glass, and metal. Suitability still depends on the exact surface, condition, and detail.

  2. Prepare and dry completely

    Remove failed or incompatible repair material as directed. A wet surface or unstable coating is not a sound base for a new repair.

  3. Follow the product-specific sequence

    Use the current instructions for reinforcement, coverage, application, weather, and cure. Do not transfer Turbo Poly Seal mixing or finishing instructions to a silicone product. Keep later repairs in the same compatible system.
